Ernest is a home maintenance app for first-time homeowners. This policy explains what information we handle, where it stays, and what choices you have.

• We use your email to sign you in.
• Your home and maintenance data stays on your iPhone.
• We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
• You can delete your account from the app when you no longer want to use Ernest.

Information we collect

Account information

• Email address when you create an account or sign in.

Information you enter in the app

• Home name
• Systems you track (for example HVAC, water heater, appliances)
• Maintenance tasks, due dates, and completion history
• Optional details you add about your systems (make, model, notes, and similar fields)

We do not require access to your contacts, photos, location, or microphone to use Ernest.

Where your information is stored

Sign-in (cloud). Account authentication is provided by Supabase, our authentication service. Your email and account identifier are stored with Supabase so you can sign in securely.

Home data (on your device). The home profile, systems, tasks, and history you see in Ernest are stored locally on your iPhone. We do not upload that maintenance data to our servers today.
